After countless trials, Greystone Defense Finishing is pleased to announce Greystone Defense Brown^® (GDB^®) anodizing is now available for aluminum alloys 6061 and 7075. GDB^® is a MIL-SPEC Type III hardcoat aluminum anodizing service that works exceptionally well with Flat Dark Earth (FDE) – a highly demanded, but elusive shade of sandy, earth-toned brown.

With GDB^® anodizing, aesthetics don’t come at the cost of performance. Unlike paint-based and ceramic products (which simply coat metal) GDB^® anodizing improves the intrinsic properties of the metal it treats – in addition to being a consistent visual complement to your Flat Dark Earth components.

Compared to metal that hasn’t been anodized, parts anodized with GDB^® are more durable and resistant to corrosion and wear.
